16 ways to grow your business inbetween sales, results or income levels

You will spend 90% (or more) of your life in The Space Between (TSB) - meals, results, achievements, desires, income goals, relationships, nail appointments, dates, and yes - sales. Which means you have more than enough time to miss all the magical gains of the present moment while being caught up in getting somewhere else (maybe even a place you don’t really want to be). Those who can decrease the space between their results, live fuller lives & tap into more creative experiences are able to do this one thing:

Indulge in The Space Between.

Especially when it comes to sales, your peace is the most delicious thing about your business. It what makes you investible af to high-level clients. It’s what attracts opportunities - seemingly - out of the blue. It’s what makes you approachable and creative. It’s what connects you to the next big creative idea that’ll change your life. So, how can we tap into this magic, intentionally, while still honoring our big goals? How can we tap into the present without fear of being complacent? How can we create more satisfaction, peace, & fulfillment right now so that we can enjoy more of our life (90% of it!!!) while collapsing the time between our results?

Here are 16 ways that you can indulge in the The Space Between, collapse time, fill your creative cup & enjoy more of your life in ways that’ll leave an impact on the world (feel free to apply this list to whatever your big goal is right now):

  1. Lean in deeper to your coach and/or current investments - notice where you’re avoiding getting or receiving support that you paid for (its likely a mirror for your money, partnerships, and relationships)

  2. Continue to make empowered investments - notice how your financial decisions and actions differ between seasons of flow and seasons of limitation or scarcity. Learn how to continue running an empowered offense even when you’re scared (remember, you’re the quarterback of your business…if you hang onto the ball for too long - out of fear - you’re gonna get sacked, injured, & defeated)

  3. Refine your coaching skills - the #1 sales block in the coaching industry has nothing to do with content, sales skills, or funnels. Every strategy works. And I’ve seen coaches who are mediocre salespersons (I’m one of them), but who still excel in sales and business. It has everything to do with how confident a coach is in their ability post-sale & how deeply they trust people to not hurt them at their next level. There will be seasons where what you think you need is a business solutions, when what you actually need is a craft expansion.

  4. Reconnect to the PURPOSES of each of your offers - Ask yourself questions like, “Is this offer still a Fuck Yes for my vision? Do I still love delivering this or am I settling because it’s making money? Is this still serving the people I desire to work with? Am I bored with this material?”

  5. Ask yourself, “What would make this easier on me?” - You may uncover stories that are no longer serving you or mirrors that you weren’t aware of prior to. What action can you take to make this time easier on you? Can you simplify any systems to make welcoming this sale/goal in easier for you? Or are there any back-end limiting beliefs (aka what happens after you get the sale or income goal) that are totally blocking it from coming in? Where does it all make perfect sense?

  6. Put on a bomb ass playlist, go for a walk, & strut your stuff like you’re way past having “it” - I want to offer you a new perspective to envision from. Stop imagining the day or second you get your desired result (i.e. the second you get the Stripe notification or sign that book deal). Notice how when you imagine achieving a goal, you feel excited, lit up, buzzy, tingly, short of breath, maybe you’re screaming or jumping around like a crazy person. That’s incredible, but what all that energy is signaling to your nervous system is: “This still feels too big for you!” Rather, envision your life a month after getting the result. Notice how simple and normal it feels to have that result? How do you breathe? How do you move? What’s on your calendar? How can you train for this emotion? How can you bring it into your present situation?

  7. Connect w/ your friends or significant other and create moments that a sale could NEVER give you - If you knew that your money/goal was attracted to your peace, what would you do between your results that would make you absolutely, undeniably, deliciously irresistible to it?

  8. Lean into discomfort on purpose - In Elizabeth Gilbert’s Eat, Pray, Love she talks about a moment of practicing Vipassana meditation while getting eaten alive by mosquitos in India. She says, “If you are feeling discomfort then you are supposed to meditate upon that discomfort, watching the effect that physical pain has on you. In our real lives, we are constantly hopping around to adjust ourselves around discomfort - physical, emotional and psychological - in order to evade the reality of grief and nuisance. Vipassana meditation teaches that grief and nuisance are inevitable in this life, but if you can plant yourself in stillness long enough, you will, in time, experience the truth that everything (both uncomfortable and lovely ) does eventually pass…I got to thinking about how much time I spend in my life crashing around like a great gasping fish, either squirming away from some uncomfortable distress or flopping hungrily toward ever more pleasure. And I wondered whether it might serve me (and those who are burdened with the task of loving me) if I could learn to stay still and endure a bit more without always getting dragged alone the potholed road of circumstance.” You have the power to do create discomfort so that you’re not constantly blindsided by it. And if you are, then you’ve trained for those moments. Can you lean into the discomfort, choose to stay a little longer when you want to run, open your heart to the experience, and watches resistance melt like an ice cube?

  9. Make a list of how you will you know that you’ve successfully achieved your goal - Your success metrics will always shift, melt and change with the seasons of life. When you “make it”, how will you know that you’ve made it? What are 10 metrics that very clearly define what success means to YOU?

  10. Celebrate everything that IS happening & shift your focus away from what isn’t happening - you got this!

  11. Regulate your nervous system around your bank account (regardless of the number inside) - again, your peace is delicious. If you’re avoiding money, it will avoid you. How can you create intimacy with your money every day?

  12. Call your family & respond to the text messages you’ve left on read - you don’t have to do this all alone. There’s love, light, laughs and excitement to be had in TSB. Go there. Your ability to be with your family even if you’re going through a wobbly season might mirror your ability to hold yourself and clients when you’re going through a wobble. Can you allow two things to exist at once?

  13. What have you been avoiding? Go tackle it - the best question for quantum leaping. Can you make it a weekly habit to tackle at least one thing you’ve been avoiding?

  14. Reconnect to your content and spend a day creating things that you LOVE - monotony & stress are the 2 deaths of creativity. If things are feeling lack luster or intuitively wrong, can you take a day (or 2) to refill your Purpose Cup? Maybe it’s a day working on a new project with zero expectations. Maybe it’s a week off of social so that you can go deeper with clients or a new program you’re creating. Or maybe you just need 72 hours to - excuse my language - fuck off because you’ve been on every day for 3 years. I repeat: What makes you delicious and irresistible is your peace and power, not your consistency. Go where the energy is!

  15. Schedule a weekly coffee, concept & self-coaching date - if you find that you’re operating more out of feelings than facts, then you need a weekly self-coaching date. This will allow you to see your cycles, where you’re stuck and where you’re thriving over time. That way you can make better decisions, create more epic results & establish your unique strategies for being successful in every season. You can get access to mine by clicking the link right here.

  16. Load up your Creative ATM card - you cannot pour from an empty cup. What creative (mindful) adventures can you have outside your business that sharpen your toolset and also fill your creative cup. Mine are: golf, cooking, grocery shopping (because I love to cook and bake), reading fantasy novels, trying out new workout classes, walking my dogs, coloring, & writing fiction short stories. These have nothing to do with most of my goals, but they all serve as fuel for my creative power. When my cup is full, I can pour, and pour, and pour without ever sniffing empty.

Notice how I didn't give you a timeline for any of these? That's because success is cyclical. How are you showing up in the space between?

I would love to hear from you.
