Episode 9: How to run a prolific business on your own rhythm, with your own unique energy signature
Do you ever look at how some people run their businesses and think, “I love that for you! But no way in hell could that be me. I have absolutely no desire to do that.”?
You’re not wrong for thinking that. It doesn’t make you less obsessed, less committed to “doing whatever it takes” or less likely to get mind blowing results. But it does mean that you’ll be taking the road less travelled. Are you courageous enough to follow the pull?
Something about me:
I played college golf and graduated in 4 years with 2 science degrees from one of the best biology programs in the country, all while: playing a double-season sport (which required me to travel 16 weeks of the school year), winning 4 conference championships, working out 2x/day, volunteering in the NICU for med school, redshirting for a semester to study abroad, working a sh*t CNA position on weekends, somehow getting a 3.8GPA…and loving every single second of it.
I feel like I was born to work. It’s in my blood. Consistency got me so many amazing things, but… I had to learn how to be consistent in ways that were going to compliment me. Not take from me.
I might love to work, but I’m also a super-feeling, INFJ, home-body-to-the-Nth-degree, 4/6 manifesting generator with Type A tendencies.
Like a 12 oz Red Bull - I pack a kickass punch, but there’s only 12 oz of me. I can’t make it last all day, all week, all month, or all year. So I have to devote my energy to the right things - constantly. We’re often told that consistency is the only way to create and maintain success. And to that I counter:
What happens when the same consistency that got you amazing results becomes the death of inspiration? Of creation? Of expansion? Of evolution? Of energy? And has now become a limitation?
Consistency, determination, & grit got you to where you are now. But what happens when you’re ready to expand beyond that with your foot on the gas…but different? When your vision of a “delicious business” includes more space, more pouring into your own cup, & more creativity…while getting deeper into entrepreneurial mastery.
In this episode, I will give you some simple frameworks to apply to your business so that you can set your business up for success even on your worst days. Lastly, I’ll share with you 9 structural ‘things’ I’ve been doing in my business for years that allow me to be consistent & create delicious work (even when I’m off).
